Perfect wedding weather
I joined Jess and Ben for their Somerset Barn Wedding ceremony at St Peter and All Hallows Church, West Huntspill in Somerset. As the guests gathered I had to pinch myself over the weather: one of those sunny, warm Spring days where it all just feels right and Winter is a receding memory.
The Blue Bell Barn Somerset
The ceremony was fun, mixing respectful formality with some laughs and after a few family portraits in the grounds of the Church, we hotfooted it a few miles to the wedding reception at Secret World Wildlife Rescue, Somerset . Ostensibly a animal rescue and rehabilitation centre, Secret World also boasts The Blue Bell Barn which is a well proportioned, tastefully decorated Somerset Barn Wedding venue.
Drinks on the lawn
The afternoon continued at a leisurely pace with the setting sun washing a soft glow over the scene as guests mingled and played lawn games.
Rock Around the Clock
With the hog roast meal and traditional speeches over, the fantastic rock n roll band The Moonlight Trio blasted out a host of classics. Jess and Ben took the lead on the dance floor but soon encouraged the gathered guests to strut their stuff.
